Charles Godfrey was a pilot who, in the midst of World War I, demonstrated the strength of the French Air Force by flying his bi-plane through the Arc de Triumph. Our ode to the national hero envelopes its wearer in a garment that seems to be in constant motion – falling, swooping, ascending with any body’s curves. Drawstrings inspired by Twentieth-century military parachuting allow the wearer to tailor the garment to their liking while maintaining the weightless delicacy of Godfrey’s ostentatious flight.
